Please review these Terms of Service (the “Terms”) carefully as they govern your access to and use of the website located at https://www.volt.ag (the “Site”). The Site is an open-source software portal operated by The Ape Society (referred to as the “Company,” “we,” or “us”). Through the Site, users can engage with Volt, a decentralized finance protocol built on Base utilizing the Ethereum ecosystem (the “Protocol”). The Protocol is supported by ecosystem participants and external parties. For simplicity, we collectively refer to the Site and its associated offerings as the “Services.”
Notice on Prohibited Use – Restricted Persons The Services are strictly unavailable to and cannot be used by:
Any individuals or entities residing, located, incorporated, or registered in restricted territories as outlined below (collectively, “Restricted Persons”). We enforce this policy without exceptions. If you qualify as a Restricted Person, you are prohibited from accessing the Services or bypassing these restrictions through Virtual Private Networks (VPNs) or similar means.
By agreeing to these Terms, you acknowledge and accept that disputes between you and the Company will be resolved via binding arbitration, except in jurisdictions where arbitration is not permitted. Refer to Section 14, “Dispute Resolution,” for further details. Where arbitration is not applicable, Section 13 (Governing Law) will govern the resolution of disputes.
Acceptance of Terms By accessing or using the Services, you agree to comply with these Terms. If you disagree, you must refrain from using the Services or accessing the Site. Some jurisdictions may impose limitations on specific provisions, such as indemnification, warranty disclaimers, or liability limitations. In such cases, these provisions will apply only to the maximum extent permitted by local laws. Additionally, these Terms do not override any consumer rights that may apply to you under your jurisdiction.
Privacy Policy Our Privacy Policy outlines how we collect, process, and use your information. Please review it as it governs your interactions with the Services. Occasionally, the Site may include links to third-party websites or services. By engaging with third-party products or services, you agree to adhere to their respective terms and privacy policies.
Changes to the Terms or Services We reserve the right to update or modify these Terms at our discretion. Any changes will be communicated through postings on the Site or other relevant channels. It is your responsibility to review the Terms periodically. Continued use of the Services following updates constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. Eligibility to Use the Services The Services are accessible only to users in jurisdictions where their use is lawful. They are not permitted in restricted jurisdictions (see ‘Notice on Prohibited Use’). Attempts to bypass these restrictions or access the Services without proper authorization are prohibited. To protect the integrity of the Services, we may block access from specific IP addresses or devices at our discretion. Restricted territories include Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Syria, the Crimea, Donetsk People’s Republic, Luhansk People’s Republic regions of Ukraine, and other locations subject to United States sanctions or embargoes.
Third-Party Content and Services While using the Services, you may interact with content or features provided by third parties (“Third-Party Content”). We do not control, endorse, or assume responsibility for such content, including its accuracy or compliance with applicable laws. Your dealings with third parties are solely between you and them, and we disclaim any liability arising from such interactions.
About the Services (a) Overview The Services provide an interface for interacting with third-party blockchains, protocols, networks, and ecosystems, including the Protocol. These enable users to execute transactions on decentralized blockchains.
(b) Wallet Integration To use the Services, you must connect a supported digital wallet. Transactions initiated through the Services are completed via third-party wallet extensions. We do not control these extensions and are not responsible for their functionality.
(c) Third-Party Interactions The Services merely facilitate access to Third Party Services, which operate independently. The Company does not own, manage, or endorse these services. Any use of such services is subject to their respective terms, risks, and policies.
User Content (a) Ownership and Licensing Content you create or share via the Services remains your property. By using the Services, you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use and display this content for operational purposes.
(b) Content Responsibility You are solely responsible for your content and ensuring it does not violate intellectual property or privacy rights or breach any laws.
(c) Content Removal We reserve the right to remove content at our discretion if it violates these Terms or applicable laws.
General Prohibitions Users must not engage in activities that disrupt or compromise the integrity of the Services, including but not limited to posting harmful content, circumventing security measures, or engaging in fraudulent or unlawful activities.
Termination We may suspend or terminate your access to the Services at our discretion, with or without notice, for reasons including violations of these Terms or applicable laws.
Disclaimers The Services are provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted access, accuracy, or reliability and are not liable for losses arising from your use of the Services.
